Water Impact Credits support sustainable water projects and technology by utilising Sustainable Water Certificates to both value and account for every unit of sustainable water. Just like Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), water certificates have two components; one that represents the physical unit of water and another that is a water credit.
Every certificate purchased via the BWX platform is bonded to a unique unit of water that comes from our certified sustainable water source. Through a clear and visible environment BWX attaches to each unit of water a credit that verifies the water source and can be used to offset water use. This means that for every gallon of water consumed, you can generate a gallon of sustainable water to balance demand and achieve true water sustainability.
A minimum of 1% of all transactions traded on BWX will be donated to our Botanical Water Foundation. The proceeds will be used to gift botanical water to community and environmental projects at no cost via our trusted water impact partners.

Our Water Harvesting Units (WHUs), turn any juice concentration facility, or sugar mill into a sustainable potable new water source.
The WHUs are manufactured, tested, commissioned and serviced. They also operate independently to existing equipment at the processor.
A standard WHU can harvest ~20,000 litres of botanical water per hour, and when running for 23 hours a day our WHUs can harvest ~460,000 litres or ~122,000 gallons per day.
